Puppy Birthday

Well it is 7am and we have not been to bed yet.  Miss Cali Lily has been in labor all night. This was a long night of going in and out every hour, small drinks of fresh water, panting, pacing and just moving non stop.  At 6:15 am she had her first pup a girl. By 6:30 she had 2 more girls. Lets hope she has a quick delivery and she and I can get some sleep before the kids get home from school.  YAWN!

8:35 one more girl and one more boy. Two hours between puppy three and puppy 4. Lily is doing amazing.  We are both tired, her more then I of course.  So far it is 4 girls and a boy. 

8:55 another boy. This one she crawled into the closet and delivered him. She picked him up ever so gentley and carried him back into the whelping box. Thankfully we made the closet floor and lower wall waterproof also, so all was good.  One more pup to go.

 9:25 last pup born is a boy. So 4 girls and 2 boys. ahh.  I will give her a half hour to make sure she is done, then clean up and nap time for us. Everyone seems healthy and all births were easy and normal.
