Grace's puppies are here

Tonight Grace delivered 5 beautiful puppies. She wanted to be with us so we took her and her whelping box into my daughters room and we sat on the bed and two chairs and waited for the arrival of the crew. Me, Karina, Jake, Justin and Katrina were all present for the birth. (Karina has a very large bedroom) Grace had one cream girl, one cream boy, two apricot boys and one black boy. THey are so cute and Grace was a trouper. SHe amazes me how well she handles the who thing. To say she is a natural is not even scratching the surface. first pup came out just head presenting and then stayed that way. With a little help he finally was born and he is a determined little man.  Everytime mo.m moved he would imediately find a new nipple. He was and is determined.  The rest of the pups came pretty easy and all are nursing and appear healthy. THe black boy is jet black, he looks like silk. Grace ate two small bowls of vanilla ice cream and some water and is content with chilling with her new family.

Karina and I are off to curl up in her bed in whelping box at the foot of the bed . It is about 1:30 am and we are very tired. So happy to be blessed with this amazing life I get to live. Puppy moans to fall asleep to , who could ask for more.
